Since 2005, it has been Adriano Giovanetto’s mission to continue the work of generations, primarily his family, in a terraced area nestled in the rocks of the Piole region in the hamlet of Montestrutto. Handling grapevines in these areas involves very hard work, important to the landscape and the protection of the land.
The company originated with its first goal being to offer the “d’an Piole” wine, now listed in the Canavese Red DOC. The tools needed to pursue this mission, painstaking work in the vineyards and the wine cellar – will put the uniqueness of the area in bottles and on tables. They grow only native grape varieties that have always been in the area: Nebbiolo picotener, Vernassa “dal picul rus” and Neretto. An evocative guided tour shows off the terraces growing grapes and olives, yet another niche in this small Canavese business.
