This consortium was created among the mountains of Chisone and Germanasca Valleys, a great example of collaboration between winemakers and public facilities. Since 2010, it has brought together small farmers still using terraces, between 600 and 900 metres above sea level, along extremely steep slopes in Perosa Argentina and Pomaretto.
The reason for forming this association was to encourage the production of a mountain wine that, in a combination of native grapes recommended by experts, contains the essence of a unique area: a kind of favoured climatic niche that allows the production of a harmonious nectar with an unmistakeable bouquet, the expression of a fascinating countryside that also poses harsh challenges to human labour. A monorail was built with contributions from the Province of Turin to facilitate impracticable work in vineyards, including harvest.
