Martino Massoglia and his father Battista founded this company, which at first made casks for wine storage, showing an attachment to the land, rural life and an ancestral wisdom made of experience and intuition. Their goal was not only to satisfy the wine producers of the day, but also to own their own wine cellar in one of the best areas.
Today the company’s land, under family management, is on the most suitable hills and stretches from Agliè to Cuceglio, passing precisely through the San Grato area where the vineyards are growing Barbera-grappolin, Freisa, Bonarda, Neretto, Croatina and Erbaluce grapes. In the winery, the most up-to-date wine production techniques are used to extract the best substances from the grapes: gentle pressing, monitored fermentation, and stabilisation using cold alone, at very low temperatures.
