This family has been involved in the world of wine for a full five generations. Giuseppe founded the company when he came to Ivrea from Acqui to introduce the nectars of the Piedmont to the Aosta Valley. He developed the company with his son Luigi; in those days, the company was based in the former San Bernardino a Ivrea convent, under the home of Mr. Camillo Olivetti.
Beginning in 1957, Giuseppe, the founder’s grandson, began to produce one of the rarest wines from the Nebbiolo grape variety: Carema. In the town of Carema, in 1964, the family created a wine cellar for production and ageing. Since then, their business has been run with great passion and devotion by Luigi, along with his children Roberto and Andrea. The late harvest of Erbaluce di Caluso rates a mention as it is made from grapes harvested in December.
