On Bricherasio Hill, facing the mountains, this company takes its name from the ancient village. Luca, the descendant of a family anchored to this difficult land, studied agriculture and now is brimming with passion and experience, flanked by his irreplaceable wife, Nadia; his father Piero, a nurseryman, produced vine cuttings with his brothers and used to work at Fiat.
The grapevines, planted on the Pinerolo hills all the way to the Valdesi Valleys, surround the old “crota del sindic”, remodelled for lodgings. The one called Saint Catherine, given to him by his father-in-law, grows on the stone terraces and towers over the building. Areas at risk for abandonment, with strong identities, are maintained, especially through the use of native grape varieties (Barbera, Bonarda, Dolcetto, Doux d’Henry) along with recent additions of Avanà, Avarengo and Neretto in the Pomaretto area to produce the Pinerolo ramie.
